Feedback and Reporting
The culmination of the first stage of the career process includes
necessary feedback and a comprehensive report which identifies important
trends and significant outcomes. This is achieved through a process of
cross referencing the various tests and measuring results against group
norms, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
The report serves to integrate the individual findings, which enables a
clearer idea of self and therefore more direction in terms of either
selecting suitable tertiary education, being placed in a particular
position, or placing oneself squarely in the market place.
From an organisational perspective, it provides essential information
about the suitability of a candidate and whether they would be a good
fit in terms of the individual’s abilities, skills, interests,
personality and the particular position available. It is always
important to note however, that no assessment should be considered in
isolation, and previous history, experience and prior knowledge are
equally important in the selection, and final decision-making process.
It is the belief of Career Creations that any candidate who has
completed assessments should receive feedback, even though the final
report may be sent to the referring organisation. Private individuals of
course receive their own copies.
During the feedback session, which is a one-on-one interaction, results
of the various assessments are provided and explained, and discussions
are encouraged in terms of future developments.
The next step of the process is also highlighted whereby individuals are
encouraged to embark on their action plan i.e. the practical integration
of their knowledge.
To this end a “Virtual Career Tool Kit” is provided which offers
practical guidelines and helpful information for this vital next step of
the process.
